Rebecca is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Rebecca’s approach is centered around empowering clients to discover their strengths and develop effective strategies to address their concerns. Rebecca acknowledges that therapy is not a one-size fits all solution, so tailoring her approach to individual clients and providing a welcoming space to speak candidly is crucially important. Her clinical skill set integrates evidence-based practices to meet the needs of youth, individuals, families, and couples. Driven by a desire to expand her practice she is now offering therapy to First Responders and Veterans.

Using Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), she collaboratively works with clients to set clear goals and identify practical steps towards achieving them. Teaching Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques helps clients to recognize and change negative intrusive thought patterns and behaviours, promoting healthier coping skills and improved emotional well-being.  Couples in crisis are supported through Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).  Additionally, she integrates mindfulness practices to enhance self-awareness, reduce stress, and foster a sense of inner peace.

Rebecca is also an Accelerated Resolution (ART) trained therapist. ART helps individuals reprocess traumatic experiences that have become “stuck” in the brain’s event-processing system. In many cases of trauma or PTSD, the brain struggles to process experiences normally, causing past events to feel as though they are happening in the present. ART can assist clients, particularly First Responders and Veterans, to move past those stuck points, allowing them to connect the memory with more manageable emotions, reducing emotional distress.

Rebecca offers a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their stories and begin the healing journey. After several years of working and volunteering in a variety of clinical settings she understands that the path to purpose and self-fulfillment can be complicated and challenging. Her goal is to meet clients where they are at, offering them non-judgmental listening rooted in warmth, empathy, compassion, and to assure that each individual feels heard and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.
